We’re looking passionate Junior Sous Chef to join one of the most prestigious colleges in central Oxford. This is a great opportunity for someone currently working within a high-end restaurant or hotel seeking a better work/life balance whilst still working with some of the best local, seasonal produce.
The right Junior Sous Chef candidate will have good communication skills, strong attention to detail excellent food presentation skills and will have good knowledge of portion controls and cost management. You will also work closely with the Senior Chefs on menu development and dish innovation for their formal dinner and high-profile events.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior chefs on menu development and dish innovation.
- Deliver excellent food presentation for formal dinners and events (50+ covers).
- Manage portion controls, cost efficiency, and seasonal produce quality.
- Support high-volume services with precision and team coordination.
Essential Requirements
- Junior Sous experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, or fine dining.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of cost management, portion control, and local produce.
- Right to live/work in UK; flexible for college events.
